NZ Surf Academy Coaching & Camps for Term-time & Holidays

NZ Surf Academy objective is to teach and develop surfing skills for Primary, Intermediate, Secondary & International Schools. We will educate students on both beach safety & environmental awareness. Our lessons and activities encourage good teamwork and group cohesion to provide a positive, supportive and fun learning environment.

Objectives
• Increase ‘beach safety’ awareness through experiencing the enjoyment of learning to surf.
• To give children and young adults the confidence to be active and have fun in the ocean.
• To educate & encourage students that surfing is for everyone regardless of size, skill and ability.

Why NZ Surf Academy We are an accredited Surfing NZ surf school holding all the necessary qualifications for EOTC including ISA Surf Coaching, Lifesaving, Sports First Aid and Public Liability Insurance

Bring your students to Sheepworld Farm Park to learn about the NZ Sheep and Wool Story using our tailor-made packages of activities for school groups that will fulfill many parts of your curriculum.

Sheepworld is an all-weather venue and we have a range of indoor and outdoor activities.

Indoor activities and facilities include:

Dog and Sheep Shows twice daily at 11am and 2pm. Other times available on request.

Rural craft activities for groups; wool spinning, butter making & native plant workshops.

Marquee and picnic area available for eating lunch or morning/afternoon tea..

Outdoor activities include:

Complete farmyard of animals including alpacas, pigs, donkeys, miniature horses, goats and sheep.

Animal Encounters; learn about selected animals.

Guided Farm Tour & guided or self-guided Eco Discovery Trail.

Our shop is stocked with quality, natural NZ products ideal for staff presentations or gifts.

Our onsite Berries Café serves tasty snacks and meals, great coffee and real-fruit organic

Ice-creams.

For school camps there is a campsite and caravan park adjacent to Sheepworld which is separately owned and managed. Upon request we can supply information on how to book the campsite.

Using the great NZ outdoors as an adventure and natural classroom we connect you and your students with nature in a more conscious and meaningful way. We offer a range of fun and safe outdoor education experiences that positively challenge and inspire youth to seek more and learn more.

Our one-day outdoor education ‘forest school’ programme is locally in Auckland, offering students an alternative education once a week. We have many other programmes land, water and snow-based.

For School Camps or School Grounds sleepovers, our unique Bell Tent Glamping options are available throughout the North Island.

Also available are School Holiday programmes, family excursions, weekend trips and much more available through New Zealand.
