Bigfoot Adventures Ltd has been running successful adventure activities for over ten years. We specialise in ‘Education Outside the Classroom’ for years 5 to 13 with in-school programmes & camps. We aim to provide safe, fun outdoor experiences for schools, businesses and the general public.

Our activities and events range from adventurous to social and include:

BOYLE RIVER OUTDOOR EDUCATION CENTRE

For the last 45 years we have been a leader in providing responsive and impactful Outdoor Education and Recreation programmes.
From Banks Penninsula in the East and Charleston in the West we can collaborate with you to bring your programme to life.
At the Boyle we can offer a variety of different style camps helping you create sequential programmes that build on the skills already gained by your ākonga. Utilise the Boyle Lodge as your base or get out there and spend it in tents around the campfire. You can even have a bit of both! All in the beautiful mountains of the Lewis Pass

Kokako Lodge – Auckland

Kokako Lodge is nestled in the Hunua Falls Regional Park 30 minutes from Papakura, South Auckland.

We have bunk room and marae style sleeping for 98 and partner with HFC (Hunua Falls Camp) next door (with a further 120 bunks) giving us a capacity for 200 students at any one time.

Within our camp we have quality high ropes, abseiling, archery and team building games as well as having a Music Room with piano, electric drums, bass and acoustic guitars. We have a large and new commercial kitchen for self or contract catering.

Just outside our gates (walking distance) we operate kayaking and water activities on the Hunua Falls and multiple streams and rivers in the area. We run day and overnight bush tramps and offer education (plants you can eat). There are a multitude of authentic EOTC opportunities from water quality sampling to other maths and science activities.

We operate a ‘Challenge by Choice’ model for personal development, support Spoken Word (and Reflection Journals) and our Kaupapa is, “I am Me – I am Worthwhile”.

Using the great NZ outdoors as an adventure and natural classroom we connect you and your students with nature in a more conscious and meaningful way. We offer a range of fun and safe outdoor education experiences that positively challenge and inspire youth to seek more and learn more.

Our one-day outdoor education ‘forest school’ programme is locally in Auckland, offering students an alternative education once a week. We have many other programmes land, water and snow-based.

For School Camps or School Grounds sleepovers, our unique Bell Tent Glamping options are available throughout the North Island.

Also available are School Holiday programmes, family excursions, weekend trips and much more available through New Zealand.
