Bigfoot Adventures Ltd has been running successful adventure activities for over ten years. We specialise in 'Education Outside the Classroom' for years 5 to 13 with in-school programmes & camps. We aim to provide safe, fun outdoor experiences for schools, businesses and the general public.

BOYLE RIVER OUTDOOR EDUCATION CENTRE
'The Boyle' provides tailor-made outdoor education programmes for school and
community groups, as well as offering a number of our own 'Boyle' courses
for senior students. We also run off-site journeys and courses for adults.
Personal & social development, teamwork, leadership, adventures, curriculum activities, assessment - all in the beautiful mountains of the Lewis Pass.

Hanmer Springs Forest Camp
Winner of The Bronze Award in The International Green Apple World Awards for Environmental Best Practise 2015.
The perfect alpine forest setting for your next school camp. We have worked with schools for 38 years and have accommodation for up to 200 people to suit from one class or sports team to whole camp bookings! Activities include thermal pools, orienteering, tree climbing, walking & mountain biking on tracks radiating from the camp boundaries. Catering is also an available option. Kokako Lodge is Auckland's leading EOTC venue. The 85-bed residential camp is situated at the foothills of the Hunua Ranges Regional Park (Auckland's largest park, at around 17,000 ha). Kokako Lodge is an ideal place for many different user groups from school & youth groups through to corporate and wedding groups. Services and activities include: UNIT Standard Assessment, High and Low Ropes, Abseiling, Kayaking, Raft Building, Tramping & Camping, Bushcraft & Survival Skills, Archery, Team Building, Orienteering & Expeditions.

Makahika Outdoor Pursuit Centre
The Makahika Outdoor Pursuit Centre is set among the forests and native bush in the foothills of the Tararua Ranges, 1.5 hours from Wellington, or 45 minutes from Palmerston North. We cater for school groups from Year 3 to Year 13.
Makahika writes and designs your school camp programme; provides full Risk Assessment Management System (RAMS), offers a range of accommodation options (up to 140 per group), and provides fantastic fresh catering.
Most importantly we are a registered Adventure Activities Provider subject to annual external audits; all activities are supervised by industry qualified instructors. We develop a programme specific to your group needs, that aligns with your school values and learning outcomes for the year. The skills acquired on camp and programmes are "accumulative"; ensuring you can return yearly.
We are also a licensed Award Unit for the Duke of Edinburgh's Hillary Award.

Mountain Safety Council
The New Zealand Mountain Safety Council (MSC) is a national organisation with a
mandate to encourage safe participation in land-based outdoor activities.
Through the development of insights and working with partners; we provide
videos, resources and tools for people heading into the outdoors to have a great time and make it home safe.

New Zealand Walking Access Commission
The New Zealand Walking Access Commission is the Crown entity that works to enhance free, certain, practical and enduring access to the great outdoors. The Commission has created the Both Sides of the Fence education website to assist teachers and students to explore the theme of responsible use of the outdoors. The site features engaging animated scenarios, a student image gallery and a teachers' space with resources supporting the English and Social Sciences learning areas, and EOTC activities. Both Sides of the Fence is designed for years 4-8, but is also appropriate for younger or older students.
