For the first time in NZ beautifully designed, up to 9x re-usable, totally organic, disposable dinnerware is available to schools at fundraising margin prices. Ecoware is a truly compostable and worm-farm friendly product, produced by an environmental and socially responsible process. It is a good resource for social science, economics, biology and recycling.

Founded on the belief that it's possible to combine high quality design with the highest standards of environmental responsibility, Ecoware now redefines what stylish, sustainable and compostable disposable dinnerware can be. Thoughtfully and beautifully designed, Ecoware offers a chic touch of nature to each table.

Durable and versatile, Ecoware is lightweight yet sturdy. It stands up to hot foods, hot/cold liquids and the hot sun. You can even use it to bake in the oven, store in the fridge and reheat in the microwave.

Since Ecoware is all-natural - made from only fallen leaves, steam, heat and pressure, there are no concerns about plastics, glues, lacquers, veneers or any toxins to leach into foods. While Ecoware can't ensure that your meal will be guilt free, they can ensure that your dinnerware is.

Corporate Responsibility

The Ecoware mission is to produce the highest quality products at fair prices using sustainable production methods and fair wage labor for the environmentally and socially conscious consumer. At Ecoware, being inspired means doing what they do best – producing dinnerware that’s biodegradable, durable, plus stands out for its natural look and feel. By using an agricultural byproduct - fallen leaves - that they ‘borrow’ (and frequently save from being burned) and then return to the earth, they hope to conserve resources for generations to come.

Social Responsibility

Ecoware believes that it is our social responsibility and privilege to help those in parts of the world with fewer resources. Ecoware products are made in South Asia, where they have created hundreds of fair-wage jobs. Their craftspeople work in conditions compliant with international standards and earn a steady income well above the average rate to support their families. They are provided with work experience and new skills, giving them the economic means to significantly better their lives whilst preserving the environment.

Environmental Responsibility

Ecoware’s mission to be true to the earth is their top priority.

They are actively engaged in and concerned with all steps of production, from gathering the materials to bringing our dinnerware to your party. They start by collecting fallen leaves from plantations—no trees are ever cut down to make our dinnerware. The leaves are then brought to the factory, where they are sprayed with high-pressure water, steamed and UV sterilized. Over 80% of the water used is recaptured and reused, and the entire manufacturing process uses just 10% of the energy used in recycling.

Ecoware plates are 100% free of chemicals, lacquers, glues, bonding agents or anything toxic so your meal and our earth are kept free from harm.
