OPC offers educational and assessment opportunities based around outdoor environments, using our 5 key learning themes – Self, Place, Others, Thinking and Skills. GBI marine centre activities are based around the pristine ocean and forests.
Individuals work together in teams to explore the coastline, forests and fauna, whilst learning skills such as kayaking, coasteering, sailing, rock climbing, abseiling and surf kayaking.

Highland Home complex in the heart of the breath-taking Pohangina Valley, near Ashhurst, caters to schools, church and service groups, senior citizens and families. Attractions and activities include: glow worms, river, Totara Reserve Regional Park, walking and tramping tracks, caving, abseiling, clay bird shooting, helicopter rides, volleyball, basketball, BMX bikes, touch rugby, trampolines, rock climbing and a shooting gallery.
