Enhance learning experiences with a visit to the Pioneer
Village - 40 historic buildings and artifacts with
themed programmes to suit. Your students can listen to
our Storyteller and experience what it is was like to
live, play and have lessons in a school-house in the
pioneering days in Taranaki, New Zealand. Our popular
option of dress up gets everyone into the mood and adds
as much fun to the day as our exciting train ride. This
option is available for all our themed EOTC tours and
our children's parties or end of term day outs. For the

The Village
schoolteacher offers a full immersion experience as
a class in 1900
10 am to 2 pm or half day (2 hours)
With Lessons, Dress up & games, 1900s activities to
suit different groups & ages.
TRAIN RIDE
The Pioneer Express
takes you on a journey twice around the Village.
Bookings essential; the train carries 20
children at a time with supervising adults.
