 The
Mistletoe Bay Eco
Village is now available
for your school group to
enjoy a truly
outstanding
environmental experience
in one of NZ’s most
beautiful locations. The
eco village reflects
what can result from
dedicated community
effort, creating an
environmentally
sustainable tourist,
conference and
educational facility
that boasts the latest
technology in recycling,
solar power, water
conservation, and waste
water treatment. We also
welcomed a donkey, two
alpacas, kunekune pigs,
and chickens to help us
further our
environmental mission!
Soft adventure tourism
activities available at
Mistletoe Bay include
kayaking, diving,
cycling, sailing,
walking, and
orienteering amongst the
marine or forest
environment for which
Mistletoe Bay is
renowned. We can advise
you on programmes
available and also
facilitate contact with
the relevant activity
and equipment providers.
 Camping
has always been a
favourite pastime at the
Bay, and we have just
completed a new ablution
block with hot water
showers, and a camp
kitchen with stove,
refrigerator, and
washing up facilities.
Over 100 campsites are
available, all within
100m of the beach.
Our newest development
at Mistletoe Bay is the
completion of four new
double-unit whare (total
8 units) each comprising
a bathroom, and sleeping
and living areas for
six. All units are
heated with the latest
heat pump/inverter
installations, ideal for
winter occupation. A new
communal kitchen/meeting
room adjacent provides
for refrigerated
storage, with
preparation, cooking and
dining facilities. This
room is ideal for small
conference use,
classroom and tuition
situations.
 We
are offering special
rates to schools to
encourage sharing with
our up-and-coming
generation an exemplar
of a harmonious
relationship between
humans and the natural
beauty of the
Marlborough Sounds, just
the way it was meant to
be.
