It all starts when Heathrow’s parents make an absurd statement over breakfast, they are going to be on telly. It is absurd because they don’t have a clue as to how or why they will be on the telly. They already try to be noticed and stand out by the clothes they wear and have no idea how embarrassing it is for Heathrow. Now they will do anything to get on TV no matter how silly or embarrassing it is.

Heathrow’s parents move from one crazy, weird and hilarious idea to another without thinking them through and without realising what everyone else thinks of them. Will their antics get them the stardom they want? Will it make them rich? Or will they continue to be just weird and embarrassing?

In today’s society, with people obsessed with fame for fame’s sake, this book with an absurd family who just wants to appear on TV is something that many can relate with in some way. Although the parallels between this family and some that appear on reality TV shows might be lost on the younger readers this book is intended for. Right from the second sentence, the author sets the scene for a very funny story about two parents who just want to be famous by appearing on TV, that young readers will enjoy.
