The twenty-four painters and sculptures were chosen by well known writer and art commentator Richard Wolfe along with photographer Stephen Robinson. The line up provides great diversity in styles, mediums and even working environments. The line up includes established names like Dick Frizzell, Stanley Palmer, Jacqueline Fahey and Paul Dibble along with upcoming artists like Tracey Tawhiao Heather Straka and Andrew McLeod.

For any student who wants to become an artist, this is a valuable book, showing what is needed by way of a working space, what can be a good medium for them to work in and also to gain inspiration. For others it provides interesting insight into the processes often not thought about that go into creating works of art. It gives new appreciation to these wonderfully talented artists.
