My Story by Dannii Minogue

Perhaps Dannii Minogue will always be known as Kylie’s sister, despite her being a star in her own right. Certainly having such a famous sister in the same industry didn’t make things easy for Dannii. In her autobiography she talks openly about the highs and lows not only of her career but also of her personal life, her marriage to Julian McMahon and subsequent divorce, her relationship with her sister, the trials and tribulations of being an X Factor judge and of course becoming a mother.

Readers might be surprised to find a different person in these pages to the one portrayed by the media, especially her critics. For example there is no animosity or love-the relationship between the two sisters. Some readers might also be surprised at some of the aspects of her surprisingly long and varied career in the entertainment industry.

Dannii Minogue first appeared on television when she was seven. She signed her first record deal at the age of seventeen and ever since has been wowing audiences around the world with her charm and charisma. The daughter of a dancer, Dannii found the spotlight early and discovered a passion for entertaining that has never faded.

After early soap opera appearances including Home and Away, a string of chart hits in the 1990’s including Jump To The Beat, Love and Kisses, Baby Love and This Is It launched her as an established pop singer. She then reinvented herself as one of the world’s most popular dance acts.

Most recently her role as a judge on Australia’s Got Talent and X Factor has gained her a new army of fans due to her sincerity, compassion and warmth. Her recent emotional Piers Morgan interview was watched by a record breaking six million viewers. The same warmth and sincerity comes through in this autobiography. It is an honest, moving and very personal story about a girl from Melbourne who has become famous around the world.
