Glory Falls moves from the distinctly New Zealand setting of Leigh's books to a more international feel. It is set in a small town with a dark underbelly. The three main characters lives are interwoven into a compelling tale where love accompanies danger. Themes of infatuation, wanting a baby, homosexuality and sex definitely place the book in more of the adult side of Young Adult.

Scarlet is a romance for open-minded adults and is a book that some will definitely be considered too explicit and risqué by some. It won't be everyone's cup of tea.
