Pleasant Dark Days by Derek Landy
 This is the fourth Skulduggery
Pleasant adventure, only Skulduggery is lost and on the other side
of a portal, with nobody but a few evil gods for company. He might
already be dead, but can he survive and get out?
There is certainly no official Sanctuary approved plan to save
Skulduggery, but Valkrie plans to do it anyway, leaving her now
rather eccentric reflection to stand in for her in her ‘normal’
life. Her reflection has never been the same since Skulduggery shot
it. If the rescue isn’t enough, there is also a new threat to deal
with and Big Bad, an uber-baddy who really does plan to destroy the
world. Readers will be shocked by a revelation of that particular
villain.
As with the other three books, this is a hilarious tale packed with
action, imagination and ghoulish characters. Those who are already
fans of the series will be pleased that this book carries on in the
same vein, making yet another exciting and very entertaining
adventure.

Pleasant: Mortal coil by Derek Landy
Mortal Coil is the fifth instalment in the Skulduggery Pleasant
series. In it, skulduggery Pleasant and Valkyrie Cain are back just
in time to see their whole world turned upside down.
While they struggle to protect a known killer from an unstoppable
assassin, Valkerie is on a secret mission of her own, to change her
destiny. She has learned that she is Darquesse, the evil sorceress
and her destiny is to kill the world. She wants to change and knows

twisted souls who possess the living like puppets and are on a

Ghastly and Tanith can trust no-one, not even themselves.
Once again Derek Landy has put his unique characters, humour and
imagination to work to create yet another gripping and thrilling
adventure in the Skulduggery Pleasant series. Any fans of the
previous books in the series will thoroughly enjoy this latest
instalment.
