Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever by Jeff Kinney
For those Wimpy Kid fans who may have been disappointed that the
last book required them to do the work themselves, they will be
pleased to see that in Cabin Fever Jeff is back on form and Greg
Heffley has returned.
In Cabin Fever, Greg finds he suddenly has a need to earn money
after getting hooked on an Internet game. He needs the money to buy
his virtual pet things to keep him happy, but how can he do it when
he only usually gets money for Christmas and his birthday?
The results as usual are very funny and ultimately see Greg trying
to hold an alternative to the school bazaar, in trouble for putting
graffiti on a school wall (for which he was actually falsely accused
as he was actually trying to clean it off), and stuck at home due to
a large snowstorm. At least the police can't arrest him until the
snow melts. It is a rollicking read for Wimpy kid fans and anyone
else who enjoys a good laugh at the misfortune of others. The book
also shows the need to think things through thoroughly before acting
on what at first might seem a good idea.

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Dog
Days by Jeff Kinney
In this, the latest book in the humorous Diary Of A Wimpy Kid
series, it is the summer holidays. The weather is great and all the
kids are having fun outside. All that is except Greg Heffey who is
inside his house playing video games with the curtains drawn.
Greg is a self confessed ‘indoor person’ and is living out his
ultimate summer fantasy: on responsibilities and no rules. Greg
might think it is great, but his mother has different ideas. She
wants the holidays to be packed with outdoor activities and family
togetherness.
Written like a hand written diary interspersed with simple
illustrations, it is an entertaining and very funny read. The
pictures, although simple add to the story and sometimes tell more
of the story than Greg’s self-censored writing, while at other times
illustrate a point. It is a book that boys will especially relate to
and enjoy.

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid Do It Yourself Book by Jeff Kinney
In this journal, you are the author, illustrator and main character.
It is filled with loads of space and interactive spaces to help you
put it together and create your own masterpiece. When finished,
remember to put it in a safe place because it could be worth a lot
of money when you are rich and famous, or maybe handy to see where
it all went wrong.
This book might be a disappointment to some fans of the series and
also leave people wondering why it says on the cover that it is by
Jeff Kinney, as it requires readers to make up their own story/
journal in the style of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. It is
however a great book for those with a sense of humour, imagination
and aspiration to be the next Jeff Kinney. For those who marvel at
the series though knowing that they could not write something as
witty or interesting, this book will reinforce how hard it is to
write the Wimpy Kid series.

Diary Of A
Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth by Jeff Kinney

This is the latest in the series of very funny Diary of a Wimpy Kid
books and sees Greg reaching puberty, with all the problems that
causes like the pressures of boy-girl parties, classes and books on
the subject not to mention a mother who writes about it in a
newspaper column. Added to this, Greg has lost his best friend, and
his mother has gone back to university to study, meaning that Greg
has more responsibility. He even has to wake himself up in the
morning.
Greg has to cope with many changes in his life and the lives of
those around him. As usual the consequences are hilarious, and when
everything seems to be going right for him, something will come
along to spoil it. The characters and events are something that boys
can relate to. If you haven’t read the rest of the Wimpy Kid books or
have only seen the movie, it doesn’t matter as they are written in
such a way that it is fairly easy to pick up the story. Those who
enjoyed the previous titles will also love this book.

The Wimpy Kid Movie
Diary by Jeff Kinney
This book tells readers how a popular
children’s novel is transformed into a movie, and how with this
movie in particular, with this movie the detail and lengths that
everyone went to in order to ensure that it was not only as much
like the book but also as believable as possible. The book uncovers
details in the props that viewers couldn’t see in the movie. It also
says why a scene appears in the movie when it wasn’t in the book.
The Wimpy kid Movie Diary is written in the style of the books but
with colour photos to compliment the cartoon sketches throughout the
book.
It is an entertaining and informative read not only for those who
enjoyed the novels or the movie but for anyone who has aspirations
to make movies or become an actor. It is a great way for students to
find out what really goes on when a blockbuster movie is made and
what attention for detail is actually needed.
