Obviously inspired by the television documentary series, Ross Kemp On Gangs, Ganglands Russia is the second novel in Ross Kemp’s Ganglands series.

Moscow Eagles 88 is a twisted and violent gang of neo-Nazis. They are terrorising the streets of Russia’s capital city, attacking innocent citizens and they must be stopped. Seventeen year old Alexei Zukov has just moved to Moscow to support his girlfriend, Lena who has won a modelling contract. Alexei is hoping to also start an engineering course in the city’s State University in the autumn. While Alexei is fighting a kickboxing match, Lena becomes the latest victim of Moscow Eagles 88 when she tries to stop them attacking an old man on a train.

The first thing Alexei knows of Lena’s attack is when a strange man calls him and tells him she is in hospital. Suddenly their plans have changed, and he finds Lena in a bad way and in a coma which she may never recover from. He finds the American who called him in the waiting room of the hospital. He is Darius Jordan, head of a secretive crime fighting organisation called Trojan Industries and he is there to recruit Alexei into their organisation, to be an operative to go undercover inside the 88’s so they can stop the brutal gang once and for all.

Can Alexei stop the 88’s from destroying any more lives, or will he be found out to be a spy and silenced forever?

Ganglands Russia is an exciting thriller that is hard to put down. Readers will be drawn into the book right from the start as an initially unwilling Alexei is drawn into the world of a spy, then thrust into the dark underworld of Moscow’s gangs. This is not a book for younger readers, but teenagers will love the suspense, intrigue and action.
