Even though there are two mysteries and stories throughout this book, it isn’t hard to know what one is which, yet they are not disjointed, and at times seamlessly meld together. Readers will even get a bit of a lesson on the tulip industry thrown in. It is actually based on the real life events of the Tulip Bubble in 17th century Holland. It is a tale of fundamentalism and freedom, also the dark fruits of greed, pride and arrogance.
