Sons to Men is focused on strengthening the woman within the mother. Anne wants women to realise that they are the key to a great relationship with their sons and through this book, gives them the resources to do so. Anne is the mother of four boys and when her youngest son told her that she was not invited to join him at rugby, not only did she feel the pains of rejection, she realised that she had been in the same position three times before. From that moment, she decided she wanted to support and educate mothers in the experience of letting boys move into the world of manhood. She developed a course to help mothers of teenagers (particularly teenage boys) to let go with confidence. Sons To Men is based on the material of that course.

Although called Sons to Men this book is more focused on a mother’s ability to let go and allow sons to become more independent. Her techniques have been proven to help mothers feel more confident in understanding and dealing with their teenage sons’ personalities as they move towards greater independence, stronger opinions and independent social lives. Anne also encourages mothers to take an honest look at guilt, nagging, anxiety and doubt to see the impact their emotions have on their actions.
