The Jungle by Clive Cussler with Jack Du Brul
The Jungle is the eighth
book in the Oregon Files series. Jungles come in many forms. There
are the steamy rain forests of the Burmese highlands. There are the
lies and betrayals of the world of covert operations. And there are
the dark and twisted thoughts of a man bent on near-global
domination. To pull off their latest mission, Juan Cabrillo and the
crew of the Oregon must survive them all.
After losing their
contract with the US Government because of a daring raid that went
too far, Cabrillo and his crew of mercenaries are earning money by
doing dirty, dangerous jobs in the world's trouble spots and they
have just accepted a mission to find a missing adventurer in the
jungles of Myanmar.
It isn't long before Cabrillo and his
team realise that they have been set up. Betrayed, tortured and
played for a fool, Cabrillo is angry that he and his team have been
used as a pawn in someone's deadly scheme. But with the US nuclear
launch codes up for grabs and a madman bent on using them to hold
ransom, Cabrillo must save the world before he gets his revenge.
Once again, the Oregon Files offers an exciting, riveting
adventure novel for those who love suspense, intrigue and more
twists than a mountain road.

A Japanese cargo ship cruises the eastern Atlantic near the Azores-
when it bursts into flames. A gang of pirates speeds to take
