This humorous book particularly appealing to girls over seven
provides lots of cringe worthy moments as two Argentine aunties
arrive to help Saffron’s pregnant mother while her father is on
business in China, leaving Saffron to think they are a major
embarrassment, but her friends thinking they are cool.
When Saffron’s father returns home, he has to travel to Bangkok on
business, but this time has decided to take Saffron, her little
sister Sage and their very pregnant mother with him. At a market,
both children show that they have no idea on how to bargain and
bring prices down, in the hotel pool, Saffron shows she isn’t as
aware about etiquette as she thinks she is and then there is the tuk
tuk ride and other hilarious events.
This book introduces readers to new cultures and ultimately teaches
them to be open to new things. Saffron thinks she has everything
under control and is open to new things, but because she isn’t open
to different cultures or in too much of a hurry to prove she has
everything under control, her actions can result in funny and
unexpected outcomes. The illustrations are of a style you would
expect from someone of Saffron’s age adding a bit of authenticity to
the story.

 Saffron So Quite Excellent by Victoria M Azaro
When Saffron's baby
sister, Star Anise has a sleeping problem, Saffron decides she
should try to help her mother. Unfortunately her ideas on how to
help, while being so quite excellent doesn't quite go to plan.
This book also sees Saffron and her family travel to exotic
places like Saint Tropez, Paris, and Madrid. Saffron even seems to
discover her true calling as a famous choreographer.
As with
the previous two books, the results are extremely entertaining and
humorous. Any fans of the Saffron series or girls who like a good
laugh will enjoy this book.
