This book is about a person's love affair with a place and its wildlife too, not to mention the love she has for her husband and family. It tells readers of the struggles and trials of living in a remote island with access to things we take for granted and most of us couldn't dream to be without.

Jeanette tells this story with the same candid frankness and sense of humour as the previous two books about her life, making it a delight to read and taking readers on an interesting journey into a place and life completely unfamiliar to them.
